Holiday Cards, also known as Holiday Vouchers, are a modern form of holiday bonuses or allowances, similar to vouchers or meal cards, in the form of an electronic bank card. The beneficiary can use the card to purchase tourist services and vacations in Romania for himself and his family.
Where can you get a Holiday Card? The Holiday Card can be offered by the company where you work, if you have a valid individual employment contract and if the company decides to offer such benefits to its employees.
What can be included in the package of tourist services purchased with the Holiday Cards? The package of tourist services purchased with the Holiday Cards must include accommodation and catering services. Holiday cards are nominal and can only be used by the holder.
If the value of your stay is equal to the value of your holiday cards, you must pay with the Holiday Card you hold.
If the value of your vacation exceeds the value of the Holiday Card, you have to pay the difference between the value of the package and the value of the Holiday Card by other means of payment (cash, money order, card, etc.).
If the value of your booking is less than the value of the Holiday Card, the difference cannot be refunded in cash according to the law. You can add extra services (extra days of accommodation, extra meals, etc.) up to the minimum amount of the Holiday Card. If this is not possible, the difference will not be refunded.
